TAVOLARA
The island of Tavolara is a limestone and granite mountain that rises from the sea, 560 meters high, four kilometers long, characterized by impervious rocks, by the imposing and dizzying verticality and by the splendid chromatic tones: the green of juniper, rosemary and mastic, in combination with the azure, blue and emerald green of the waters around. It is known as the smallest kingdom in the world.
MOLARA
It is an island in north-eastern Sardinia which is located, together with the island of Tavolara, that of Molarotto, the peninsula of Punta Coda Cavallo and other smaller rocks, in a protected marine area. Of a granite nature, it has a surface area of 3,411 km² and reaches, with Punta la Guardia, 158 m a.s.l. The toponym, of medieval origin, is probably due to the rounded and uniform shape of the island, similar to a millstone.
